Privacy Policy

How Yield collects, uses, shares and deletes data when you use Yield.

Effective 2 September 2026

Who we are

Yield is operated by Yield, TODO — registered business address. Yield is a tool for creating, publishing and analysing advertising campaigns on Meta platforms. This policy covers the Yield web application and this website. Questions go to privacy@yield.app.

Data we collect

We collect the following categories of data.

  • Account data. Your name, email address and authentication credentials, so you can sign in and we can identify your workspace.
  • Brand and campaign inputs. The brand details you enter during onboarding, the descriptions you type or dictate when briefing an ad, and the campaign settings you choose. Dictated audio is transcribed to text and the audio is discarded after transcription.
  • Creative assets. Images and video you upload, and assets generated on your behalf, together with their titles, descriptions and calls to action.
  • Meta advertising data. When you connect a Meta account we receive, via the Meta APIs and with your authorisation, your app-scoped user ID, the ad accounts, Pages and Business assets you grant access to, the campaigns, ad sets and ads in them, and their delivery and performance metrics (impressions, clicks, spend, conversions and aggregated audience breakdowns such as age, gender, placement and region).
  • Website and landing page analytics. Where you install our connector or a Meta Pixel on a landing page you control, we receive aggregated visit and conversion events for that page so we can compare them against what Meta reports.
  • Product usage and technical data. Log data, IP address, browser and device type, and the actions you take in the app, used for security, debugging and improving the product.

We do not ask for and do not knowingly collect special category data, and Yield is not intended for anyone under 18.

Why we use it

  • To provide the service: drafting campaigns, generating or storing creative, publishing ads to Meta on your instruction, and reporting on results.
  • To produce the analysis and recommendations the product exists for, including reconciling Meta-reported metrics against your own landing page analytics and identifying where the funnel is losing people.
  • To operate, secure and debug the service, and to prevent abuse.
  • To communicate with you about the service, and — only where you have opted in or as otherwise permitted by law — about the product.

Where the GDPR or a comparable regime applies, we rely on performance of our contract with you for providing the service, your consent for optional processing such as marketing, and our legitimate interests in securing and improving the product.

Automated processing and AI

Yield uses third-party AI models to transcribe dictation, draft campaign copy and settings, and generate images and video. Your brief, brand details and campaign performance data are sent to these providers to produce that output. We do not permit our providers to use your content to train their models. Generated output is a suggestion — nothing is published to Meta until you approve it.

How we share data

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers acting on our instructions, and with platforms you have connected:

  • Meta Platforms, to read the advertising data you authorise and to publish the campaigns you approve.
  • Cloud hosting, database and storage providers that run the service.
  • AI model and speech-to-text providers, for the processing described above.
  • Analytics and error monitoring providers, for product usage and technical data.
  • Authorities or acquirers, where required by law or in connection with a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy continues to apply until it is replaced with notice to you.

Our use of information received from the Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies, including the limited use requirements.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, EEA or another region with transfer restrictions, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep it

  • Account data: for as long as your account is open, then up to 30 days after closure.
  • Campaign briefs, settings, creative assets and imported Meta insights: for as long as your account is open, so historical performance stays comparable, then deleted with the account.
  • Dictated audio: discarded immediately after transcription.
  • Logs and technical data: up to 12 months.
  • Records we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons: for the period the law requires.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, restrict or object to our processing of your data, to withdraw consent, and to erasure. Email privacy@yield.app and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Deleting your data

You can disconnect your Meta account at any time from your Yield settings, or remove Yield from Meta Settings → Apps and Websites. To have your data erased, follow the steps on our data deletion page.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access tokens are stored encrypted, and access to production systems is limited to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the effective date above. If the change is material we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
